Modern mobile technology is a double edged sword. It's a pocket sized genie which gives immense functionality, a near necessity in today's high powered age.
However, it gives as much as it takes. We've all seen it. Endless scrolling from dusk 'till dawn, from cradle to the grave. Phones are apathetic in the hyper stimulative trap they create. Old, young , rich , poor , stupid or smart ; Everyone cannot get enough.
If only we could take the good and leave the bad. This is the philosophy the PurePhone was created with. It aims to solve two primary issues, the hyper stimulative nature of pornography & social-media.
The first is the greater break-through, deep within the computer code of the phone itself is a 'uninstallable' filter for lewd/adult/degenerative/pornographic content which works even on a vpn connection or downloaded media, this is due to its innovative architecture which is embedded within the phone itself and does not rely on blocking specific websites - a common approach which is easily circumvented. This filter cannot be removed at all and has an almost 100% accuracy rate.
The second point is optional and achieved through allowing a secondary user to set a hard limit on the screen time, this limit cannot be changed by the primary user himself and only applies to a list of apps which are deemed 'un-essential' e.g. news/game, this feature is completely optional
Currently, the physical phone being used is a Pixel 7a with PureOS installed on top, if demand for the device is great enough efforts will be made to develop a dedicated mobile device, to install PureOS the bootloader was unlocked (this allows a different operating system to be installed), you will see a message confirming this every time the phone boots up, it is perfectly safe & secure as the files have been encrypted. A small number of apps do not work with a phone which has a custom OS loaded e.g. eBay mobile app, in this rare case, the website version of the app will have to be used.
